The Über-Morlock is the leader of Morlock society, which he controls telepathically. ("The Time Machine").

The Über-Morlock is specifically bred for superhuman mental capacity, as opposed to the other morlocks, which are bred to be the muscle. He is not only able to learn and think much more quickly then a baseline human but he demonstrates the ability to conjure illusions, most likely by infiltrating a person's senses as well as telekinesis.
While retaining most of his human ancestry minus the loss of skin and hair pigmentation, the Uber-Morlock's spinal column is grotesquely engorged, lined with pulsating exposed brain tissue and with the tops of his vertebrae sticking out of his skin.
