Mrad or Mard, nicknamed Despo by Time Traveler Two due to his inability to pronounce the man's real name, was a Morloi leader and despot. He was responsible for slaying Ktram's family and had spies searching for her and Hrage ever since. During Narra Morris's visit to the future, Despo had her captured. When Time Traveler Two, Ktram, and Hrage descended to the Morloi realm to rescue, all but Hrage were captured as well. ("Beyond the Time Machine")
