Neil Perry was a scientist and inventor working for a research and development company. He was responsible for building a weapon that would devastate the world in one future timeline, leading to the world of the Eloi and the Morlocks. He also invented The Time Machine, and visited the far future to meet those races and learn of the fruits of his inventions. ("1978 Film")
